Premium tung oil, phenolic resins, and UV blockers make up the components of Classic Marine Varnish, delivering a stunning transparent amber finish suitable for all interior and exterior wood surfaces found on boats, strip canoes, kayaks, outdoor wooden bar tops, garage doors, furniture, and more.

Durability is a key feature of our Urethane Spar Varnish, boasting maximum UV resistance while remaining flexible post-curing. This unique formula prevents peeling or cracking that often occurs when wood expands and contracts due to changes in seasonal humidity and temperature.

Application is a breeze with our varnishes, as they can be easily applied using a brush, roller, or spray. Achieve a high-gloss finish by applying 4-6 coats of Gleam Gloss, or opt for a sleek satin finish by using Gleam Gloss varnish as a base and finishing off with Gleam Satin. The recommended application temperature ranges from 45 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity levels between 0-85%.

Our self-leveling finish dries quickly, allowing for recoating in just 1 hour at 72°F. Up to 3 coats can be applied in a single day. If desired, thin the varnish with 5-10% TotalBoat Special Brushing Thinner 100 for brush or roller applications, or 10-20% TotalBoat Spray Thinner 101 for spraying.

Both gloss and satin (low-sheen) finishes are available in pint, quart, and gallon sizes, with coverage ranging from 360-400 sq ft per gallon. Thinning options include TotalBoat Special Brushing Thinner 100 for brushing or rolling, and TotalBoat Spray Thinner 101 for spraying applications.
