To fix pastels, graphite, or chalk, combine 1 part medium with 1 part distilled water and apply using an atomizer or airbrush. It can also be used as a light collaging glue by applying with a brush or sponge. Compatible with all Liquitex products, it provides a satin finish to colors while enhancing their depth and transparency. It also reduces the viscosity of heavy body paints, allowing for better flow and extending the color without compromising the stability of the acrylic.

The medium ensures paint adhesion, durability, and archival quality, making it suitable for use as a non-removable varnish to protect paintings and create a satin sheen. It is also great for collaging with light materials and transferring printed images. You can thin it with water, up to 25%, with distilled water yielding the best results. Adjust the viscosity and transparency of your acrylic color as desired by mixing in the medium - the more you add, the thinner and more transparent the color will become. Remember that it is semi-opaque when wet, but turns transparent when dry.
