The Liquitex Archival Permanent Varnish Finishing Medium is a durable, low-odor medium with water-based technology. It appears translucent when wet and clear once dry. This varnish resists discoloration caused by humidity, heat, and UV light. It can be used with Spray Paint, Heavy Body, and Soft Body acrylics to create a hard, flexible surface that repels dirt and protects against harsh elements.

To apply, make sure the surface and environment are clean, dry, and free of dust. Acrylic paintings must be fully dried and cured for 48-72 hours before varnishing. You can apply the varnish using a brush or spray, but spraying typically results in a thinner, smoother, more even application. We do not recommend rolling or sponging on the varnish.
